At Coloc Housing, we understand that sometimes residents may wish to swap rooms within our shared living spaces. Whether it's for personal preferences, convenience, or any other reason, we aim to make this process as smooth and hassle-free as possible. To facilitate room swaps efficiently, we have established a room swap fee of 200 Euros, alongside a structured procedure to ensure a seamless transition for all involved parties. (Why is there a fee ?) (Note: Current roomies always have the first right)

The Room Swap Procedure:

1. Giving Notice

Before proceeding with the room swap process, tenants are required to give a 2-month notice on their dashboard. This allows sufficient time for all parties to prepare for the transition.

2. Selecting the Date

Once the notice period has been fulfilled, tenants must pick the right date for the room swap on their calendar. Coordination is key to ensuring a seamless transition without disrupting the routine of other residents.

3. Applying for the Room Swap

With the notice period served and the date selected, tenants can now apply for the room they wish to swap for. Our online platform simplifies this step, allowing tenants to submit their requests conveniently.

4. Accepting the New Contract

Upon approval of the room swap request, tenants will receive a new contract reflecting the updated living arrangements. It's essential to carefully review and accept the new contract to finalize the room swap process officially.
