📃 What Does the Cleaning Budget Include, and Can I Request Extra Cleaning?

Cleaning Service

Updated today

Keeping the house clean is a shared responsibility, and the cleaning service helps maintain common areas.

✨ What Is Included in the Cleaning Service?

The cleaning crew can help with a wide range of in-home tasks, depending on your house's fixed cleaning budget (measured in service cheques):

  • Common areas – Hallways, kitchen, and shared spaces

  • Shared bathrooms – Private bathrooms only if the door is left open

  • Floors & staircases – Vacuuming and general cleaning

  • Sinks & showers – Decalcification

  • Interior window cleaning and reachable outside windows

  • Cleaning cupboards (inside and out)

  • Cleaning window shutters

⚠️ Important: If a space is too dirty or unhygienic, the cleaning crew may refuse to clean it. Let's keep things tidy and show respect for the people who help maintain your home.

🧼 Flexibility: You Manage the Schedule

Your house manages the cleaning team directly—usually via a shared group chat. We recommend sticking to a consistent weekly schedule but adjusting when needed. For example:

  • Some houses may skip the living room to deep-clean a bathroom.

  • Others may rotate tasks weekly (e.g. Week 1 = bathrooms, Week 2 = living areas).

If you need something specific cleaned, just ask in the group chat, and the team will try to accommodate.

💡 Extra requests that surpass your house’s budget on a yearly basis will need to be paid by the house, or charges may increase. While flexibility is possible, a consistent schedule helps manage costs—you're in control!
