🤝 What is a Coloc Buddy?

Your Go-To Person for Community Support.

Updated over a month ago

At Coloc Housing, we know that moving into a new home can feel overwhelming. That’s why we created the Coloc Buddy Program—to make sure every new roomie feels welcome, supported, and connected from day one.

🤷‍♀️ What Is a Coloc Buddy?

A Coloc Buddy is a fellow roomie who helps new arrivals settle in. They’re your go-to person for any general questions, guidance about house life, and tips for adjusting to your new home.

  • Help new roomies settle in and understand the house rules

  • Answer general questions about Coloc life and the local area

  • Organize events and activities to bring roomies together

  • Encourage a friendly and connected living environment

However, a Coloc Buddy is NOT responsible for house management—they simply help make the transition smoother and ensure that everyone feels at home.

🧐 Who Can Be a Coloc Buddy?

Anyone in the house can volunteer to become a Coloc Buddy! If you enjoy bringing people together and creating a positive home environment, this role is for you.

🎁 What Are the Perks?

Being a Coloc Buddy comes with some awesome perks! You’ll get:

  • Leadership experience that helps with personal and professional growth

  • Access to community-building workshops on leadership, communication, and event planning

  • Recognition & certification for your role

  • A 10% rent discount on your net rent as a token of appreciation

You’ve been with us for a while, and think you’ve got what it takes to become a buddy for your house? Simply send your application to your community manager!
